Waterdown Jr Wolves Program
The Jr Wolves program was launched in 2022 to create a development pathway for players seeking additional field time to enhance their skills and join the 8U Rep program. This initiative builds on the foundation laid in 2019 when the then HL Director introduced an 8U team, giving young players born in 2011 and 2012 the chance to play competitive Rep baseball.
As the smallest association in the COBA loop, Waterdown faced challenges in competing with larger organizations due to a developmental gap. Recognizing this, the Jr Wolves program was designed to bridge that gap and prepare players to compete effectively. Although the program was temporarily halted during the pandemic, it successfully relaunched in 2022 with volunteer coaches and has since become an essential stepping stone into WMBA’s Rep program. The class of 2022 has advanced to 10U, where for the first time, we now field both a Tier 1 and Tier 2 team.
Looking ahead, we are excited to announce the next chapter of the Jr Wolves program. Starting in the 2025 season, the program will partner with Strike Zone Training Inc. to deliver a professional development initiative for players born in 2017 and 2018. This partnership ensures top-tier training for players aiming to excel at the 8U and 9U levels.
Program Details
2017 Jr Wolves (Senior Division)
- Registration Limit: 20 players (must be enrolled in the house league program)
- Fee: $300
- Schedule: Saturday mornings, 10:30 AM
Location: Memorial Park, Diamonds 3 and 4
- Program Length: 12 weeks (May to September)
Includes a showcase game in early September at Joe Sams before Rep tryouts.
- Uniform: Official Rep WMBA hat and Jr Wolves jersey
2018 Jr Wolves (Junior Division)
- Registration Limit: 20 players (must be enrolled in the house league program)
- Fee: $300
- Schedule: Saturday mornings, 9:00 AM
Location: Memorial Park, Diamonds 3 and 4
- Program Length: 12 weeks (May to September)
