New Additions at Joe Sams

August 31st Ribbon Cutting with contributors to the new additions including our own WMBA members

Next time you visit Joe Sams for the upcoming baseball season, you will notice a few additions that have been underway in the past little while. In between diamonds #1 and #2, a new sun shelter has been completed, and a new playground in the same vicinity is underway, forecasted to be completed in time for all to enjoy when the 2019 season begins. There will also be some newly paved pathways with benches along the way to make the trip down to diamonds #3 and #4 a little more tolerable. Thank you to all that have made this happen: the Lions Club of Waterdown, Councillor Judi Partridge, the City of Hamilton, along with contribution from the WMBA. More details can be found as reported in the Flamborough Review recently. Another reason to enjoy our growing community!

Select Baseball Tryouts for 2019 Season

Update: The schedule for PeeWee Select is now set. Please see details below.

Now that rep tryouts have been completed, we are in the process of organizing tryouts for next year's Select baseball program. Select teams are formed with tryout sessions for eligible players rostered with teams playing under the auspices of the Baseball Ontario, Select Division (formerly SOBA).  Play will involve games with teams from the surrounding area & tournaments throughout the spring/summer of the upcoming season for both loop only (new this year) and non loop only teams. Non loop only teams will also have houseleague play. For more information about the Select program, please see our information listed under Rep & Select in our Youth Programs section on the WMBA website.

The following tryout schedule has been announced and we may be releasing times and places for other tryouts in the next little while for teams in divisions that will be fielded. Please check the WMBA website regularly for any sessions that are added or any changes that may be made to the schedule. For those interested in applying to tryout, please fill out the application form for the respective tryout on our Forms page (click here to be redirected to that page). We are making it mandatory to apply online before you attend your first tryout.
